                <text>This collection includes high-quality reproductions of more than 70 of the medieval manuscripts in the &lt;a href="http://www.ub.unibas.ch"&gt;Basel University Library&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most of the manuscripts were written in the late 14th and 15th century. Theological works comprise two thirds of the total collection, a quarter can be assigned to the liberal arts, while law and medicine account for the rest. There are around 350 volumes containing works in German and 90 containing works in Greek, but the majority are written in Latin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Department of Manuscripts and Early Printed Books continues to add more manuscripts from the the Middle Ages to the collection.
